A few Wilderness Dice changes

A few Wilderness Dice changes

We’ve got a small update regarding Wilderness Dice.

We’re just a little behind on releasing the BYOD edition of Wilderness Dice. We expected to have it in-hand on January 30th, but that date has slipped into February. We’re now expecting to release the Wilderness Dice Base game along side it’s ‘standalone expansions’.

We’re also announcing that we are changing our expansions to ‘standalone expansions’. What this means is that rather than selling a single 18-card deck to add on a player, we’ll be selling 2-player, 36-card decks. This structure will allow players to have a complete deck to play with no matter which expansion they pickup. Additionally, we’re pricing these standalone expansions at $7.99, which is cheaper than buying the two packs separately (we have increased the price on the Base game from $6.49 to $7.99 to match).

The standalone expansions will be;

M15426010-3 – Wilderness Dice: Exotic Expansion – $7.99
M15426010-4 – Wilderness Dice: Ancient Expansion – $7.99
M15426010-5 – Wilderness Dice: Domestic Expansion – $7.99

The Exotic Expansion will include the Africa themed Safari deck and the Australia themed Outback deck. The Ancient Expansion will include the Cryptid deck and the Jurassic deck. The Domestic Expansion will include the Farm deck and the all new Pets Deck!

We realized we’d need to include a sixth deck, and we decided to release one of the decks we were working on for a future promotion. We’re excited to make it available with the Farm deck.

Wilderness Dice is Back!

Wilderness Dice is Back!

We are very excited to announce that Wilderness Dice is coming back! It’s been out of print for over a year and we’re very excited to be getting copies back in.

This will be a new edition of Wilderness Dice. We’re calling it the “Bring Your Own Dice” Edition. This version shares all the classic gameplay of Wilderness Dice, but comes without the 12x 6-sided dice. Being the most common type of dice, it’s our hope that players will be able to go into their collection and snag some dice to play with. Players who are concerned about having enough dice on hand, we are also releasing a 12-pack of dice along-side the new release.

Due to changes with our printer, we were unable to keep the custom box we used for Wilderness Dice, Defcon Dice, and Art Major. This lead us to the BYOD design, and actually allows us to drop the price of the game. We’re excited to announce the the BYOD edition of Wilderness Dice retails for only $6.49 and the Extra Dice pack is $4.99. So if you’re picking up Wilderness Dice today, it’s actually cheaper to get the cards AND dice than it used to be!

We’re also excited to announce today that we will be re-releasing Outback and Safari expansions as well as three all new expansions. The new expansions are Cryptid, Jurassic, and Farm!

In an effort to help our super-fans hold all the current (and future) expansions plus dice, we’re also announcing the Wilderness Dice Deck Box! Slated to retail for $19.95 this sturdy storage solution comes with exclusive dividers and promo cards.

Wilderness Dice will be available online and through our retailers starting January 30th!

Thrice, coming soon!

By Jake Martens on August 21st, 2020
Thrice, coming soon!

Today we’re announcing a new game by a brand new board game developer, Mike Rogers. Mike has been working on a number of games and has been connected with our FLGS since the beginning.

Mike’s first game published by Andak is titles ‘Thrice’ and is described as a “quick and easy-to-learn dice drafting and matching game”. The game plays very quickly.

Each player will take turns rolling a set number of dice and then drafting those dice. Players have a 3×3 grid they are trying to fill with rows and columns of either sequential or similar dice. Each row and column score points and the player with the most points wins.

We expect to see Thrice release early 2021.

In a rather disappointing turn of events, Landing Party has been temporarily delayed as we’ve run into delays with components and are facing increased costs for some components. If anyone is still interested in running play tests, please feel free to reach out.
